The Barrel Stores or Chais

Our family has been in the Cognac production business for many generations.

In beautiful surroundings, you can visit our establishment and find out more about every stage in the production process for both Cognac and Pineau des Charentes.

In our barrel cellars, where the wine production still takes place, you can see classic distillation equipment, including an early nineteenth Century Charentais Alambic, and the ageing barrels of Cognac and Pineau des Charentes.

You are most welcome to visit our barrel cellars (or les chais) and production area at any time of the year by arrangement; please contact us for this.

The Early Charentais House

We are currently undertaking the restoration of an Early Charentais House. So far, two rooms have been lovingly restored. Visiting this property will give you the opportunity to see for yourself how our Charentais great-grandparents might have lived. Would you have been able to cook your dinner on the hearth, or using the Potager? Come and share this little piece of our history with us.

The Bamboo GardensThe Bamboo Gardens are another personal passion which we hope to share with you.

Planted in 1999, our range of bamboos (including over 40 different varieties from dwarf to giant) have had time to establish themselves and settle in to their new surroundings. We have variegated bamboos, bamboos with stripes, and even bamboos with square canes! Rare, Mediterranean plants have also been planted, and thrive in the Charentais sunshine.
